Seven Down

About Seven Down

Seven Down is a puzzle game centered around rolling a single die across various boards, with the challenge hinging on the unique property that opposite faces of the die always add up to seven. Players must track which face is touching the ground, as this hidden number determines the moves and strategies needed to complete each level. The game features three distinct modes: a classic puzzle mode with 60 carefully designed boards, an action mode with 120 stages filled with hazards like spikes and gaps where timing and quick thinking are essential, and a maze mode consisting of 60 labyrinths where visibility is limited to the player’s immediate surroundings, unveiling the path only as they explore.

Each level has a proven shortest solution, ensuring a fair challenge that rewards efficient planning and execution rather than guesswork. The game’s visuals, sound, and level layouts are generated dynamically as you play, which means Seven Down operates smoothly offline and offers consistent experiences every time. Controls adapt for both desktop and mobile play, keeping the focus on rolling the die and using occasional powers gained during action stages to navigate obstacles.

Fans of logic puzzles and brain-training games will appreciate the thought-provoking gameplay that combines spatial reasoning and memory skills. The simple yet deep mechanic of inferring the hidden number from the die’s position injects originality into what might otherwise be a straightforward board game. Seven Down invites players to master the rules of the die and explore a variety of environments, each offering a fresh way to engage with the core rolling mechanic.

How to Play

The Number You Can't See

Roll a die across a board — and the number that counts is the face touching the
ground, the one you can never see. Opposite sides of a die always add up to
seven, so the hidden number is always the one you can work out. Three games are
built on that single rule: 60 puzzle boards, 120 chased action stages, and 60
mazes drawn only where you have already been.

Desktop Controls:
↑ ↓ ← → (Arrow keys) or W A S D: Roll the die. In the action stages the die
keeps rolling for as long as you hold the key.
1: Bridge — lay a crossing over a gap.
2: Guard — blunt the spikes.
3: Shield — survive one hit.
C: Change camera.
V: Overview — pull back and see the whole board.
Spacebar: Skip the countdown.
Esc: Menu.

Mobile Controls:
Drag anywhere: Roll the die in that direction.
Tap a power chip: Use bridge, guard or shield.
Everything else is on screen — there is nothing to memorise.
