Pocket Tile

About Pocket Tile

Pocket Tile offers a thoughtful puzzle experience centered on placing and merging tiles within a compact 5×5 grid. Players place numbered tiles that come in two distinct colors, aiming to align three identical tiles by both number and color either horizontally or vertically. When a trio matches, they glow, signaling that tapping one of them will merge the three into a single tile of a higher number, which remains where the player chooses.

Beyond simple merges, Pocket Tile introduces special tiles such as Clone tiles, which copy the number of a neighboring tile sharing their color without replacing it, and Change Color tiles that alter the color of adjacent tiles, enabling new matching combinations. This adds a layer of strategy as players must plan their moves carefully to create space and continue their merges.

The game includes multiple ways to play: a Daily Puzzle offers a new challenge each day, Adventure mode tasks players with meeting specific tile goals across a series of levels, and Rank Game starts from an empty board for endless play aiming for high scores. The controls rely on straightforward tapping or clicking, making it accessible without complex inputs.

With its combination of number matching and color coordination, Pocket Tile blends logic and casual puzzle mechanics for players looking to engage in a merge-style challenge that encourages planning and adaptation. Its cartoon-style visuals complement the gameplay, providing a clear and colorful presentation that supports the core tile-merging experience.

How to Play

1. Place the current tile in an empty space on the 5×5 board. The Next preview shows what’s coming.
2. Connect three tiles with the same number and color horizontally or vertically. Diagonal tiles don’t connect.
3. Matching tiles glow automatically. Tap any glowing tile to merge the three—the upgraded tile stays where you tap.
4. Three 1s become a 2, three 2s become a 3, and so on. A normal merge scores the new tile’s value.
5. Mint tiles have a circle marker; violet tiles have a diamond. Both number and color must match to merge.
6. Change Color tiles have a paintbrush icon and a neutral background. They switch the pointed neighboring number from mint to violet or vice versa, keeping its value. The Change Color tile is consumed when it activates.
7. Clone tiles become the number they point toward if it matches their color. The original tile stays. Both specials wait if no valid numbered neighbor is present.
8. Keep placing and merging while moves remain. In Adventure, create all the displayed goal tiles and keep them on the board together to complete the level.
