About Picture Shift

Picture Shift is a sliding block puzzle game where players must rearrange scattered pieces to reveal hidden images. Each level presents a single crowded grid filled with blocks of various shapes—squares, lines, L-bends, crosses, and more. These blocks hide parts of a picture, such as a cow, a rocket, or a slice of pizza, and the challenge lies in sliding them through gaps just large enough to fit. The core difficulty isn’t simply placing blocks correctly, but deciding the right sequence of moves so you don’t trap blocks or run out of space.

As you work against a ticking timer, the gameplay introduces several obstacles. Some blocks become frozen, immobilized within icy cells until you clear other pictures. Chains lock certain blocks, requiring keys to free them, while pinned blocks can’t be moved at all. Additionally, there are one-way blocks that can only slide along specific axes and bombs that add urgency with countdowns threatening to end your progress.

To help with tough situations, there are limited-use boosters like a hammer to remove stubborn one-by-one pieces, a freeze timer to pause the clock briefly, and a merge option that instantly completes pictures. The controls are simple—drag blocks along open space—but mastering the puzzle demands careful planning and strategic thinking.

Picture Shift features 100 handcrafted levels that gradually increase in complexity, and after that, an endless mode offers continuous randomized challenges. Players who enjoy logic and sliding puzzles will find the combination of careful movement and time pressure an engaging test of their spatial reasoning skills.

How to Play

🎯 Goal — Rebuild every picture before the timer hits zero. Targets sit at the top; their pieces are scattered across several blocks. Line them up correctly relative to each other and the picture snaps together on its own. They don't have to be in any particular spot on the board — just in the right formation.

🖱️ Controls — Drag a block. That's it. Blocks slide through empty space only. For boosters: tap the booster → tap your target (valid blocks glow).

💀 You lose if the timer runs out or a bomb hits zero. Costs a life — but you can revive on the spot.

🧠 Tips — Think backwards (which block moves last?). Shrink, don't shove (Hammer beats rearranging). Kill bombs early. Chase pictures, not tidiness — every completed picture clears blocks and thaws ice.
