About Master Checkers

Master Checkers delivers a traditional board game experience where players take turns moving their pieces diagonally across the dark squares. The objective is to strategically capture your opponent’s pieces by jumping over them, with mandatory captures adding a layer of tactical depth. When your piece reaches the far side of the board, it is crowned king, gaining the ability to move both forward and backward. Designed for either solo play against the computer or head-to-head matches with a local opponent, this game challenges your planning and foresight. With straightforward rules and classic mechanics, Master Checkers offers a familiar yet engaging way to test your skill in a timeless two-player game.

How to Play

Moves are only allowed on dark squares, so pieces always move diagonally. Single pieces are always restricted to moving forward (towards the opponent).
Capture pieces by jumping.
A piece that makes a capture (jump) jumps over one of the opponent's pieces and lands in a straight diagonal line on the other side. Only one piece can be captured in one jump; however, multiple jumps are allowed in one move.
Jumps (or captures) are mandatory.
If a player can make a capture, the jump must be made.

When a piece reaches the furthest row from the player who controls it, it becomes a king and can move either forward or backward.
