Kinetic Puzzle
About Kinetic Puzzle
Kinetic Puzzle challenges players to navigate blocks across a grid using momentum-based sliding mechanics. Each block moves continuously in the direction you push it until it encounters an obstacle, another block, or the edge of the board. The goal is to clear all movable blocks by sliding them through specially aligned edge portals, which requires careful planning of movement order and directions.
The game features four distinct block types: simple red blocks that slide freely and can exit through any portal; yellow blocks that move only along a specified arrow direction; blue blocks that remain locked until their designated prerequisite blocks have left the board; and gray obstacles that act as stationary barriers. Managing the interactions and dependencies between these different blocks adds depth and complexity to the puzzles.
With over fifty handcrafted levels, Kinetic Puzzle gradually increases in difficulty, introducing multi-step challenges that demand strategic thinking and precise execution. The game's momentum mechanics make every slide significant, rewarding players who consider their moves attentively. The visual style leans into a neo-brutalist aesthetic, using chunky tiles that emphasize tactile interaction without distractions like timers or intrusive ads during play.
Kinetic Puzzle is designed to work seamlessly on mobile devices, tablets, and desktop browsers, allowing players to undo moves, receive hints, and have their progress saved automatically. It’s particularly suited for puzzle enthusiasts who enjoy logic-based brain teasers that require both patience and foresight. The game offers a thoughtful and engaging experience for anyone looking to solve unique block-and-grid puzzles.
How to Play
Goal
Remove every red, yellow, and blue block from the board through the orange edge portals. Gray obstacle blocks stay where they are.
Movement rule
Blocks slide with momentum: they keep going in the swiped direction until they hit a wall, an obstacle, or another block. To exit, line a block up with a portal and slide toward it.
Desktop controls
- Mouse swipe: click and drag a block in a cardinal direction (up / down / left / right), then release. The block slides until it hits something.
