Hexholm is a turn-based strategy game that challenges you to build and expand your kingdom one hexagon at a time. Beginning with just a single province, you must carefully manage your resources and troops to capture territory and defeat rival AI factions. Each map unfolds as a tactical puzzle where positioning and timing are crucial to success. You’ll need to balance your gold income with unit deployment, deciding when to upgrade forces and when to make your moves.

The game features a collection of handcrafted campaign stages that gradually increase in difficulty, offering a variety of strategic scenarios. In addition to the campaign, there are daily challenges and random skirmishes to test your skills against the AI in different settings. Matches are designed to be quick and engaging, making Hexholm suitable for both short sessions and longer play.

Gameplay involves selecting your territories, placing units, and moving them across the hexagonal grid to capture neutral or enemy hexes. Expanding your land boosts your income each turn, which allows you to recruit stronger units and merge units for upgrades. The AI opponents respond after each of your turns, creating a back-and-forth dynamic where careful planning can prevent being overrun. If you make a tactical error, an undo feature lets you revert to the previous turn and try a new approach.

How to Play

1. Tap one of your territories, then pick a unit from the bottom bar and place it on an empty hex inside your land.
2. Tap a unit to see where it can go — highlighted hexes show valid moves. Tap one to move, or tap an enemy to attack.
3. Capturing neutral and enemy hexes expands your territory and raises your income.
4. Each turn you earn gold based on the land you hold. Spend it on stronger units — and merge matching units to upgrade them.
5. Tap END TURN when you're finished; the AI factions then take their turns.
6. Eliminate every rival faction to win the map. Slipped up? Use UNDO to roll back a turn.
